I too go for a nice minimalistic look. Only desktop icons to my most highly used stuff. Everything else in the quicklaunch bar. And I got to have a thin taskbar theme. 1440x900 resolution.

Still using Vista RC2 and I hate having anything on my desktop. If there is something on my desktop that typically means it still needs to be "filed".

I've also been playing around with Outlook 2007 Beta 2, as you can see in the picture, and it actually seems pretty nice. I haven't used it in years so I thought now would be a good time to give it a shot.

On Vista Ultimate now. Still a nice minimalistic look with only desktop icons for stuff I like to be able to open very quickly after turning on the PC. Everything else all organized in quick launch menu.

I mentioned about that in the 6th page of 'useful freeware' thread.

Its Qclock - World Clock!

Ahh, I remember visiting that site and not seeing a link to screenshots so I didn't bother to try and download it. I definitely like it though.

Here's my desktop. I hate icons on the desktop. I put all my shortcuts to frequently used programs and docs in a folder and then made a docking toolbar out of it. It's set on auto hide so it only shows up when I mouse over the top of the screen. Points for anyone who can name all the icons on the toolbar. ;)

I tried figuring out your icons but I only think I got half of them. There are just too many. :)

I downloaded that wallpaper on the site that was mentioned in the "Vista Wallpapers that didn't make the cut" article on CyberNet. I found out that KDE can change your wallpaper automatically every so often (similar to what Webshots does), so a new wallpaper from that set appears on my desktop every 30 minutes.

Hey, just out of curiousity have you ever tried to get XGL/Beryl working on your KDE desktop? I've tried it on OpenSUSE before but can never seem to get it to work with KDE.
