Microsoft to cut Xbox 360 Price by $50
« on: August 06, 2007, 11:15:14 PM »
From Todd Bishop's Microsoft Blog:

Quote
Here's hoping you didn't buy an Xbox 360 over the weekend. Microsoft tonight publicly confirmed what has been widely assumed for more than a week, thanks to some leaked advertisments: The company will drop the price of the main version of the video-game console, the 20-gigabyte model, by $50 -- to $349.99.

The price decrease takes effect Wednesday. At the same time, the Xbox 360 Core System will drop in price by $20, to $279.99, and Microsoft will shave $30 off the price of the 120 GB Xbox 360 Elite, taking it to $449.99.

Kudos to Microsoft for dropping the price on their system. If I was looking for a system that had great graphics I would undoubtedly purchase the Xbox 360 since it is reasonably priced and has more advanced graphics than the Wii. I am going to miss not playing Halo 3 though. :(

Speaking of Halo, I tried to play the first one with Ryan back when it came out and those games just aren't for me! I'm not coordinated enough to use the controller the way it's supposed to be used in that game!
