Out of curiousity javasharp how do you find the freeware that you've posted. I've seen some of it (like the WinSnap), but a lot of it is new to me. Is it just stuff that you come across or are you specifically going out to find specific software for a task?

Most of them I got it from are user's comments in other blogs. Users usually suggest alternatives when they see some software for a particular task.

Time Ticker is really pretty awesome.  This is exactly how a great useful website should be laid out.  Very simple to use and pleasant on the eyes.

This is why I still have my personal website, RobertWade.com done in static HTML.  I have not done anything with it for a while and I should rectify that.

However, the section about "How to Simulate Shipboard Life at Home" was compiled from about 5-6 different versions.  It is a very funny read, and is pretty straight on the money on how it is to live aboard a US Navy Ship.  I did it for a little over 12 of the 20 years that I served.

That was a hilarious post! A lot of them made me laugh but I think this one took the cake:

Yes, that one probably takes the cake.  The sad thing is that it is so true.  I witnessed it first hand on the 2nd ship I was on.

Maybe the list should be recompiled on a new thread. After all, it is now seven pages long.
