Hey wolfe, welcome to the forums.  I checked it out and it appears very interesting indeed.  I will have to do some testing on this.  My only wish was you would have included a link to the site.  You can find the site at http://www.tag2find.com/

I doubt i will help me much, but that's because I keep my files very organized and can find anything I need in a minute or less with no need to search.  But most are not that organized and in these cases it will be very interesting.  I would be curious as to what is faster a tagged search or a search using the many desktop search tools that are available.  I guess time will tell.

Sorry about that leland...will keep in mind to include the link next time :)

I've tried both Copernic desktop search and tag2find to find files.  Personally I think they both serve different purpose.  CDS is more for if you want to search the file contents..in that regard it's very fast and doesn't take up much of processor resources, however it's in general feels "heavier" than tag2find.  tag2find is very fast to  search files only not the content and it's pretty cool in terms of bring back list of matching files which keeps narrowing down as you keep typing.  It feels a little niftier than CDS, which is sort of an overkill if you only interested in searching file names/tags only and not the content.

Hello All! First time poster. Been liking the forums thus far.

Just throwing another useful link in the free pile. Found a web app for IE recently that makes a good mobile replacement for Belarc Advisor and some of those other pc scanning tools that usually require downloads - Express PC Audit & Inventory Tool.

Check it out!  :)

That's a pretty hefty program! It's good to know about it.
Personally, i've been getting into www.evernote.com
The free level is ĵust what i need for now.

I actually tried that out a few weeks ago, but wasn't as impressed as I thought I was going to be. What I really like is the new WordPad in Windows 7.

I've found myself using NotePad++ lately for web page coding.

Ryan, i agree with you that Jarte is quite limited (even paid version) but for someone who just needs a 1,2,3 application for short text it's not that bad!  ;)
Can be handy for someone who still works with XP Home like myself.

Notepad ++ ? will have to look into it.

As Archie Bunker's wife would say: "Oh........!"

I'm going to kick myself somewhere.
I had found a bookmarklet the other day that allowed you to save a youtube link without the rest of the ads and stuff. Just the video.
I've re-installed my notebook and the last bookmarks in my browser didn't have it saved.
I know it was ...tube something but i can't recall it anymore.  :(

Found it!

Actually, it's not a freeware program, but it's almost worth one.  <3
It's a bookmarklet.

Nice find... I think I'll have to write about that.

...and you should definitely check out Notepad++. I use it everyday, and it's an awesome text editor. It just doesn't do the rich text formatting.

Does anyone know how to copy DVDs that when you use DVD Decripter or copy the Video_TS so you can use DVDFab HD Decrypter and there is about ten copies of the video showing. I was lookingat Confessions of a Shopaholic and when you go to copy the Video_TS file to your computer it shows the file is over 60 gigs. Whats with this and how do you copy that to one DVD?
