I do really like the idea of this software. I'll have to try it out and probably write an article about it on the site. Thanks once again Javasharp!
Have you yet tried this out Ryan?

If you need someone to test it with, let me know and I will be glad to help out.

@JavaSharp (or anyone else) is there a free application that is similar to MS Publisher for WinXP?  I had put OpenOffice on my father's computer last summer after I had to 'clean it up'.  Now my mother wants Open Office as well and would love to be rid of Microsoft Office of her system, but has several documents she has created in MS Publisher.

You may want to try Scribus.

Make sure to read this first, as it contains information about installing on Windows XP.

Auslogics Registry Defrag 4.0.3.40

Never heard of this before, think its new anyway, til Neowin Software page just posted bout it today.

Auslogics Registry Defrag is an extremely useful program to keep your registry as compact as possible. As a result of keeping the registry defragmented and as small as possible, your computer performance will be much improved.

Features:
- System Optimization
Microsoft Windows and various program access the registry a few hundred times a second. By keeping your registry optimized you improve your computer performance.
- Ease of Use
Registry Defrag is incredibly easy to use even for a novice user. The program provides stunning visual representation of the fragmented areas in your registry.
- Complete Registry Defragmentation
Data is frequently removed from the registry, but the allocated space remains. The program will scan through the registry to remove this space, reducing the size of the registry.
- Detailed Reports
Upon defragmenting the registry on your computer, the program prepares an HTML report with comprehensive details about registry defragmentation process.

I used it. Works well, did what it said. My PC was well maintained and very fast before, so did it make a difference, eh who knows. Their free Disk Defrag program ain't bad either, have used it before. Its no PerfectDisk, but for a tottally free, and fast, defragger, it aint bad at all.

@javasharp - We have been trying to guess in another thread, what location in the world you exist at?  We believe based on some of your posts, that you are in the UK?

I haven't but forwarded the info over to my mother.  Meant to ask her tonight when I was walking her through installing QuickTime.  I don't really have anything I needed to use it for.  I'll try to remember to ask her tomorrow night when I walk them through upgrading to Thunderbird 2 (hadn't realized they weren't using it until they asked about the upgrade to 1.5.0.12 tonight).

WinDirStat and HDGraph.  Both are open-source file/folder size analyzers.
