Most of the time I put my laptop in standby mode at night.
I shut down my desktop.

Never had much success hibernating my computer.  I cain't get it to wake up and have to reboot.  I do however have Windows setup to turn of my monitor after 10 minutes of inactivity. I don't do the hard disks though as this seemed to create problems.

I shut down my main computer every night because the Neon lights are SOOO bright. I leave my server and my HTPC on all the time though.

I don't have any fancy neon lights on my computer, althought some of the LED's are fricken bright.
