Feedreader issues
« on: May 27, 2007, 12:35:11 PM »
Prior to my slow migration to Ubuntu, I was using Flock on WinXP as my feed reader.  I noticed Ubuntu has wide a selection of feed readers to choose from.  I have tried a couple including Akregator  but I keep running into the same problem and that is with blogs that have embedded media.

I would like to use Flock but noticed it is not listed in the Add/Remove and I have no idea what to do with what I downloaded.  Suggestions?

Nevermind, I was able to find instructions (which were incorrect but I figured out what to do) to install Flock on Linux.  Even was able to get my profile from WinXP on over, plus copy (via the terminal) my plug-ins from Firefox so I could view the embedded media.

You really seem to be making a lot of progress Al. Congratulation!    O0 I have never been brave enough to bite the bullet and put Linux on my main workstation.

I am going to be in Windows for next few days as I have some projects I need to do there.  I am hoping by then the Firefox issues with the new Kernel will be fixed.
