Here's the weird thing: I speak Dutch but I'm not Dutch. Don't know if I've told this before, but Belgium is considered to have three native languages. That's because our country is divided in three parts. The first part, Flanders, is where I live. People who live in Flanders usually have Dutch as their native language. Then there's Wallonia, where most people speak French. And finally: the East Cantons, where the majority of the people who live there speak German.
It's somewhat like Canada, but we have three native languages here instead of two. And we have to learn speak all three of them. That doesn't mean that I'm good at speaking French or German though.
