I am likely going to jinx myself on this, but since I upgrade the RAM last month I have not had any more video card related crashes.

So far and I haven't a clue how the two could be related to each other.  But then as P Decker mentioned in another thread computers do weird things.

That is very true. Most issues boil down to user actions in the end.

I once got paid $250 for an emergency onsite tech support call. It took me 30 minutes to drive to the place, 3 minutes to reboot the computer, and then 30 minutes to drive back. Yep, that was about the extent of it. :)
