I'm a huge fan of both Mario and Sonic...and come this holiday season I really hope that I have a Wii:

Sonic rocks! I played him all the time on my Sega Genesis and Game Gear. :)

Holy cow, i was just looking through their forum on the site and they must be pretty popular today. A lot of people are obviously very excited about this!

Sonic and Mario head to head again...I haven't seen this since the Genesis/SNES wars.  Fans have been dying for something like this for ages, so that they can finally prove who is better! ;D I'm not sure about the whole Olympics thing, though.  Seems kind of iffy...

The original Super Mario is definitely a better game than Sonic the Hedgehog (which is still a great game), but I really like the speed mechanics in Sonic.  I think the two games compliment each other very well, Mario for well-designed platforming and Sonic for that raw adrenaline feeling.

There might be a problem with this setup, though.  Does the Wii support blast processing?

I searched and searched and searched, but couldn't find out any information regarding batch processing on the Wii. Although I did come across this commercial for batch processing:

Ooops, I meant to say blast processing. That's even what I was searching for but for some reason my fingers typed "batch" here on the forum. This was the GBA article that I was referring to though.
