Alright, I'll put it to you straight, this is just sad. You haven't seen Star Wars?!?

These aren't just nerd/geek movies. These are commonly accepted as being great cinematic classics, ones which redefined the entire film industry. Without Star Wars, there would be no modern, large-scale special effects (especially pyrotechnic ones), no computer animation, no THX sound, and the original symphonic score and grand epic film may have become lost arts. This does not even touch on the video game industry, which would never have been the same without LucasArts, the producers of such industry-shaking titles as
Grim Fandango and
Star Wars: Battlefront.
As to how to watch them (which is a must now that you see the importance of these six "movies"), it is a simple matter. In order, 1-6. True, 1 and 2 were complete garbage, but they will give you a deeper understanding of the films that come after (as in, all the rest). There is some value in watching the films 4-6 and then 1-3, but this would only really be effective if you you knew absolutely, or at least practically, nothing about
any of the films (which I truly hope isn't the case). Then again, if you didn't know anything about them, then watching them in this order would allow you to see them the way they were intended to be seen (like how I saw them).
