I also like how any changes made to profile (signature, photo, etc.) are retro to all prior posts...

That is pretty cool...I never really thought to check that out. I have read forums before but I am pretty new to participating in them so I am just learning as I go. I put a signature in too. :)

Considering most of my forum experience was/is on DelphiForums (Prospero) and their crappy platform.  Nothing is retro active other than if you change your nick name.  The only good thing I can say about them is they are an HTML format...but I am getting use to BCC code.

Hey, look at my signature now! I just used the Feedburner animator except now they let you customize the background image. I have used the headline animator for months and you would be surprised how many people ask "how do you do that" so it leaves a good impression. I might have to post about this.

I dislike big signatures, they can look ugly. However, I like the fact that you can customize the graphics like that

So how does headline animator work?  Looks cool, but I don't have a logo for my blog :'(

you'll have to setup feedburner to manage your feed and then they will generate a default one for you. I was using the default one for a long time and it isn't that bad so if you don't have a logo I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Thanks, I got me a Headline Animator as well now.  8) Took a few attempts to get it work correctly here.  Such fun converting HTML into BBC code but I got it...finally

I like how you did the same thing as me where you just change the URL to point to your blog instead of to the feed (which is what they give you the code for). I love having it and Thunderbird is setup to have it in my email signature as well.

I'm new to your forum here, but not new to forums in general.  I really like this SMF forum software, and it's free to boot!

Thanks Ryan for continuing to make Cybernet a very valuable resource.

I honestly couldn't imagine not having started the website because I have made so many friends here. One thing that I really love about our community is that we don't sit here and bash each other if someone asks a question that most of us know the answer to. I see this happening all the time in other forums and it turns people away from wanting to learn about technology.

Also, I use Google Talk and if anyone wants to add me feel free: ryanwagner AT gmail (.) com
Just give me an advanced warning (PM me through the forum or email me at that same address) because I get a lot of people trying to add me all the time and if I can't recognize who they are then I don't add them.

The Go Firefox! forum over on Delphi Forums is the same way, we are there to help.  Been getting complaints on Go Firefox! about the mozillaZine forms and the behaviour on those.  That is one of the reasons I stay out the mozillaZine Firefox Support forum.  I do frequent Firefox Builds and Firefox Bugs and the people there are a whole lot more civilized.
