I thought it was about time to update the forum today, and so that is what I set out to do. We are now running on the latest version of Simple Machines Forum (currently a Beta), and it has some really nice features. One of the features I'm sure you'll love is the WYSIWYG editor. It's almost like having a live preview as you create your post!
Secondly, posting videos is now a ton easier. All you have to do in your post is insert a copy of the video's URL from your browser's address bar, and the forum software will recognize it and insert the corresponding embed code for you. This works for a
130+ video sites including YouTube, DailyMotion, MetaCafe, Viddler, and Vimeo! So the next time you want to post a video try inserting just the video's URL in your post where you'd like it displayed.
Lastly, image uploading is back! AllYouCanUpload.com has been down for a little while now, and so our image uploader now uses TinyPic.com as the hosting service. You'll find the image uploader option on the page where you post replies (not a quick reply) or start a topic, just like before
The upgrade took me a few hours today, but I think I've gotten all of the kinks worked out. If you see anything weird just let me know.
