How Do You Track Yours?
« on: January 30, 2007, 03:06:39 PM »
The title is a terrible pun on a Cadbury's advert for the Creme Egg "How Do You eat Yours?" is there slogan. And it is a godlike chocolate.

Anyway, what i'm intereted in is this...

How do you track the blogs you comment on?

I'm sure almost everyone in this forum is familiar with Cybernets Dashboard.

But what are people using to track other blogs? Is it CoComment or Co.mments? or do you have some homebrew solution?

Personally, I used to use the bookmarks toolbar in Firefox, just dumping them there until I felt the urge to check them again. Now, I use both CoComment and Co.mment, I cant decide which one I like best.

The colours on cocoment are great, I prefer those. But the interface on co.mment is much simpler, which is good too.

I too just create a folder in my bookmarks for pages that I want to check back on. I definitely don't want to subscribe to emails because my inbox is cluttered enough as it is. Every morning I make a point to open all of the pages I'm monitoring for comments to see if something new has gone on. If possible, the link I'll bookmark will be a link to the last comment so that I know where I left off.

I have a folder in my bookmarks named Followup, and I just bookmark posts that I make a comment on, so can come back and look at em again later.

This is the only real blog I follow anymore, so I just use the Dashboard on the blog and use the links at the top of the forums to see what is new.
