Can anybody recommend a good web host also allowing domain purchase of a .co.uk
I would use Yahoo! but they only sell .com not co.uk
Any ideas???

You can try
http://linksky.com/
They are a great value host if you do not have a huge volume of traffic and do not need dedicated hosting as they are a shared hosting service. Their uptime and technical support are great. I host both my robertwade.com and cyclejockey.com domains with them. If you click on their "Get A Domain" link at the bottom of the page, they do sell .co.uk domains.

You could always purchase the domain at some other site, and then point it at a Yahoo hosting server.

GoDaddy can register
NEW
.co.uk domain names (they are unable to accept transfers of previously registered domains) and hosting.
