What's your homepage?
« on: November 29, 2006, 05:22:01 AM »
what does everyone use for a homepage?

Currently I use Netvibes at home and at work. I have it set to monitor all my email accounts, two sets of Flickr images, the netvibes blog and a few other odds and ends.

I did have Newshutch set as a second homepage. In Firefox you can specify two homepages by using the | character. eg. http://www.netvibes.com|http://www.newshutch.com

So, what does everyone else use?

I use an empty page so that I can start browsing the internet immediately (instead of having to wait until a web page that I currently don't want to access is loaded).

I have my actual homepage button set to Netvibes.com but I used to have the Yourminis Firefox extension installed which lets me overlay my "gadgets" on top of any webpage that I am currently on. I'm not sure which one I like better right now but Netvibes has such a clean interface.

I have IE setup to use a blank page, you cant do anything in IE while that first page loads. firefox is better, in that you can stop the page loading and it will actually stop!

Google is my home page, because I'm used to have Google as my home page plus it loads very fast. Actually I'm using the Google Suggest atm:

Netvibes really is a piece of class. Its the ability to totally customise everything, (appearance, layout and content) that I love

At first I thought you were saying that you didn't like Netvibes because when I read through your comment the first time my mind removed the "cl" from class...and you know what that leaves. ;)

It was the "love" at the end of your comment that made me go back and read the first sentence. :D

Close, Ryan.  It could be a piece of ass, isn't that a positive statement too?

Never really thought that it could be a positive comment...but I guess "ass" could be construed either way depending on the context. Amazing how easily it is for your eyes to lie to you.

Its the ability to totally customise everything, (appearance, layout and content) that I love
