The 3 I "watched" were each about an hour long.

The servers seem to be working a lot better on the second day of the promotion, however I think I got ripped off on getting credit for watching three webcasts from the first night of this promotion.

On my status page, I have about seven webcasts listed, with only the most recent ones from last night and this morning considered "completed" and the first three still listed as "pending."

The good news is that the site claims I have qualified to receive Office Professional. I'll let you know whether it takes 6-8 weeks or sooner to get Office Professional, or whether there's some other setback.

I, too, have received the following message but it too awhile for thme to change the first webcast from pending to complete compared to the second and third.

Message: "Congratulations! You?ve completed the number of Webcasts or vLabs required to receive a free, fully-licensed copy of Microsoft Office Professional 2007. Once we?ve confirmed that you meet the eligibility requirements stated in the offer details below we will ship your gift within 6-8 weeks of the release to manufacturing of Microsoft Office Professional 2007. While you?re waiting, why not check out additional Webcasts of vLabs to further your skills?" ;D

I think Microsoft is closing down the PowerTogether program.  When I went to the Vista sight I got a sold out but since I've registered, I can continue. :(

We're sorry, there are no more gifts available. There are still plenty of things to explore and to learn about Windows Vista. Enter now to learn more!
 ;)

Office is still available though

Makes you wonder how many people this deal was available for?

I got signed up and everything worked for me to get the Vista gift.  Although it was very slow.  I'm actually watching the webcasts right now so it should be all good!  Now the site says the gifts are no longer available so I guess those of us it worked for - we got in just in time!   :)

I think it is funny how the deal says "Sold Out" when that is typically what you say for something your selling. Maybe it should say something like "All Gone" or "No More" but I guess that doesn't sound as professional.

I didn't get a free copy but looks like those who did will have to pay taxes on it according to CNet:
Quote
Those who are getting both the free Office and Vista copies will have to fill out an IRS tax form--and eventually pay Uncle Sam--to get both titles.

"Since the combined retail value of the products is above $600 retail for developers who chose to participate in both offers, the IRS requires Microsoft to have the developers send back a signed W9 form before they receive the second item," a Microsoft representative said.

I see that even Office 2007 from powertogether.com is sold out.  Also I saw an article on Information Week's web site that says Microsoft to give away 30,000 copies.

I've been trying to figure out if it is 30,000 copies of each or 15,000 copies of each for a total of 30,000. Either way it is more than $11 million in giveaways!

So if I only ordered and registered for Vista I don't have to deal with that right?  I should be all good?!
