Win Vista Business & Games...
« on: January 25, 2007, 11:43:02 PM »
Does anyone have an idea if it's possible for me to download or access the Windows Vista games for game explorer that typically comes with the Ultimate edition?  I got my copy of the Business edition and it has no games!  My wife enjoys playing hearts so I was just wondering if I can get them for this version of Vista....

Any help would be great, thanks!@

Just found this on the Windows Vista site for you...I think it's what you're asking for:

Quote
Windows games are not installed by default in Windows Vista Business and Windows Vista Enterprise. To install them, click the Start button Picture of the Start button, click Control Panel, click Programs, and then click Turn Windows features on or off. In the Windows Features dialog box, select the Games check box, and then click OK. Administrator permission required If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

I'll be installing Vista Business Edition myself this weekend because that's what I got for free from my university, so I'm glad you brought this to my attention. :D

Ryan, you rock!  Thanks for responding so quickly and helping me out.  Now my wife can play her games!

BTW, I just got my copy of Vista Biz and it rocks!  I love the RTM stability and everything compared to RC1.  Love it.

Anyway, hope this helps others as well.  Thanks again!  :D

No problem, that is one of the reasons I wanted to start the forum. Many people email me questions like this all of the time and by posting it in the forum it has the chance of helping many other people. I give props to Microsoft for having this information readily available.
