The retro games topic
« on: January 05, 2007, 05:45:44 AM »
Post links of good free-/shareware/commercial games that you haven't played in ages. I think this is a good idea because viewing this topic will make you remember some of the games that you forgot about and play them again.

Ah, yes. I've played those game too. My favorites from the Microsoft Entertainment Pack are Pipe Dream and JezzBall.

Microsoft Puzzle Pack (Windows; puzzles): Website / Download

I really like that last one; it's a collection of cool puzzle games such as Rat Poker (screenshot) and Finty Flush (screenshot). I wish I had the full version...

Jezzball is my all time favorite from the MS WEP and one that I have and still play from time to time.
It is the perfect example of a very well crafted game that is both fun and addicting.

Another fun game that I like a lot was a game called "QIX".  Here is the link to one I found on the net:

Ha, I had never heard of QIX but I play Fillit all of the time...which essentially looks like the same thing:

Fillit is a fun game.  Reminds me a lot of both QIX and Jezzball.  Thanks for another fun game to play Ryan.

Maybe you could try this URL to see if the game loads. Java seems to have troubles from time to time loading the game and you might have to clear your cache if you have problems.

Java, eh? I disabled that because it slows down my PC too much for a web plugin.

I like this game more than JezzBall, because you can change direction.

Yep, it's Java and it is a lot of fun. I haven't played it in so long that I can't remember how far I had gotten.

How about Theme Park (DOS)? It's the first sim game ever made, as far as I know.

Played it a long time ago when I was more into gaming than I am now.  It was decent.
