Simple - A Modern Icon Theme for Linux
« on: March 21, 2009, 09:12:51 AM »
Simple is designed and created by using the very best icons created by the open source community e.g. KDE 4 - Oxygen giving the user the most modern and visually pleasing icon theme for GNOME 2.24.x (Tested on Ubuntu 8.10/9.04)

Simple Extras is designed and created to finish off the icon theme through applications like:

Nautilus CD Burner
Nautilus share

Somehow, the window style looks familiar.

What do you mean?

BTW good to see your still looking at this forum, i though most users were MIA

The theme is very WIP, this version includes the lastest changes to the folders icon as some people said it was hard to see them on white background

What do you mean?
The window frame and the buttons. The icons are different, but I thought I had seen the button style before.

That is definitely a slick looking theme. I looked at the screenshots over at gnome-look.org, and they obviously spent a lot of time making the icons.

Thanks for comments Ryan, Actually I created the theme pack out of various different theme packs hosted on open-desktop websites and other websites like KDE 4 SVN for new users who had never used Linux. I made sure the icon theme was modern and easy to use so a new user to Linux would not see a default ubuntu and say that's ugly and hate it from there. As they say first impersonations are everything

Huh... I didn't realize you were the one that actually assembled it. That makes it even cooler!  O0
