Networking question
« on: December 13, 2008, 11:27:03 PM »
I have a home network currently with some devices and PCs on it. If I change the SSID, will that cause the devices connected to the network to disconnect? What if I keep the SSID but I just hide it from being broadcast? Will that disconnect the devices currently connected?

If you change the wireless SSID all of the wireless devices will be disconnected. If you just hide it, however, they should still remain connected.

Yup, you're right. I hid the SSID and enabled MAC filtering. Thanks Ryan.
