CyberNet plugged on Download.com!
« on: February 03, 2008, 06:14:03 AM »
I can't believe this. I stumbled upon this article by accident:

Quote from: http://www.download.com/8301-2007_4-9862110-12.html?tag=fd_morefeatured
After making noise with the reintroduction of its Firefox add-ons directory last year, Mozilla is taking a step closer to integrating it with the upcoming beta of Firefox 3, which is set to go out to beta testers next week. Ryan Wagner over at Cybernet News writes that one of the biggest additions to the public betas of Firefox 3 has been the newly integrated add-on directory, which made its way into the prebeta nightly builds earlier this week.
You just got a plug from one of the most popular tech sites around the net! They got the name of your blog wrong ("Cybernet") but still: awesome.

I've seen CyberNet mentioned on PC Mag as well.  That's how I found this site in the first place.

Yep, this site is getting lots of growing interest/attention, with good reason. I think I found it via Digg but I can't remember for sure.

I found it doing a Google search on How to accomplish some task in Firefox which brought me here, then slowly I started checking more and more until now I am coming here pretty much every day.  It is definitely one of the best tech sites on the net.   O0

We love getting featured on prominent sites like that, but it doesn't generate as much traffic as you think since they are normally "backpage" blogs. It looks like we got about 50 visitors from that CNet article which we were hopefully able to transform into some dedicated readers like you guys and gals!

For the life of me, I can not remember how I found CyberNet.  I have been here for a while though and remember their first theme.

For me it was the summer/fall 2006, I was looking for info on a release date for Firefox 2 and I stumbled across the CybetNet Blog.  It didn't make long to realize this was more than just a Firefox blog.  Now of course for the longest time I thought Ashley was Ryan's sister.

Trust me, you weren't the only one that thought I was Ryan's sister. We also heard pretty frequently that people thought I was Ryan's sister. Apparently Ashley is a name used for guys as well. :)

One of our sups at work goes by Ash, so it could be short for Ashley.

It's funny you should mention that. I was watching Goldenballs on ITV1 yesterday (we can get that channel when we're on holiday near the Belgian coast) and one of the male contestants was called Ashley! What a strange coincidence. :)
