In Fx you can set Google Reader as your default feed reader.
When you click on a feed (or when you click 'subscribe' after you preview the feed), it will take you to a page where you're asked whether you want to add it to your Google homepage or to Reader. Since I don't read feeds on my homepage I did this:

Go to about:config
Filter for browser.content & you'll see a long list of preferences

Change the value of
-> browser.contentHandlers.types.2.uri
to http://www.google.com/reader/view/feed/%s

Then reset the value of
-> browser.contentHandlers.auto.application/vnd.mozilla.maybe.feed
Then restart Fx, change the selected feed reader in the options to something else and back to Reader... until the value of the previous preference also becomes http://www.google.com/reader/view/feed/%s

That's it. You're all set!!
