MonoCalendar: a worthy iCal replacement for Windows
« on: September 30, 2007, 03:16:43 AM »
MonoCalendar is a worthy iCal replacement for Windows. Now, I have never used iCal but from what I've seen it looks very similar.

Demonstration

Both the demonstration and the screenshot are in Spanish, but you'll get a nice view of the program none the less. Besides: it's not hard to figure out what 'Mi calendario' and 'Nuevo evento' mean, is it? :) (And if you happen to speak French, it will come in handy.)

Man, that does look pretty sweet. I'll definitely be giving that a whirl tomorrow.

I don't speak Spanish either, but I do recognize some words because they're similar in Dutch/French/English.

I wonder if MonoCalendar can synchronize your online calendars. I mean, how cool would it be if you could edit your calendar both online (Google Calendar) and offline (MonoCalendar) and have it synchronized to your iPod when you plug it in (using iPodCALsync)...

Unfortunately it doesn't grab your online calendar, but the biggest drawback for me was the lack of recurring events.

P.S. I don't know if you saw the comment on the site today, but I responded to your email notifications. We launched an email notification system two months ago for the comments. :)
