Just to give everyone a heads up if you want to list your extensions nicely you can use the ListZilla extension available for Firefox. I typically have it disabled until someone asks me for a list of my extensions. It is nice because it gives the version number, URL, and short description of what it does. It works with Firefox 2 despite it not explicitly saying that it does.

After you get it installed just go to Tools->Export ListZilla To->vB Code

The vB Code is what's needed to post in forums. Alright, here is my list of extensions:

Generated Sat Nov 25 2006 19:47:21 GMT-0600 (Central Standard Time)

Enabled Extensions: (10)

Aging Tabs 0.4.9 - Makes unused tabs fade with age and highlights the selected tab.
Download Statusbar 0.9.4.5 - View and manage downloads from a tidy statusbar
FaviconizeTab 0.9.7.1 - The width of the specified tab becomes small up to the size of favicon.
GMarks 0.8.1 - Shows your Google Bookmarks in the sidebar.
Google Notebook 1.0.0.10 - Allows notetaking while browsing
ListZilla 0.8 - Outputs an alphabetical list of extensions to a text, vB code, or HTML file.
Personal Menu 2.1.3 - Replace the conservative menus, beautify your Firefox!
Restarter 1.0 - Add 'restart' to file menu see bug 336050
Searchbar Autosizer 1.2 - Expand the searchbox as you type
Zoho QuickRead 0.7 - Open documents, spreadsheets & presentations with Zoho Office.

I assume you are saying they should use something like Opera? The problem with that is there appears to be several extensions that they use that don't have respectable counterparts in other browsers, such as FaviconizeTab or Ebay Negs.

Yeah, I guess. I was just thinking, if you need that many extensions, surely your using the wrong browser? Or, are you using the right browser, because you CAN have that many extensions?

I'd have to say that I'm using the right browser, because I can have that many extensions. I do have Opera, Flock, Maxthon, IE7 loaded on my machine, but the customization of Firefox is unmatched.

As long as it doesn't slow down my machine (which it hasn't thus far) it doesn't matter to me how many extensions I have.

Ryan:

Thanks for the ListZilla tip! I used to keep a backup of my extensions list in a spreadsheet. I would change the spreadsheet manually as I added and deleted extensions. With ListZilla, there's no need. Thanks for the time saver!

I dont like having loads of extensions. To start off with, it slows things down. Also, they just ditract from the original product.
